The Social Media Recruitment Guide Series was produced by Dr. Danielle Ramo, PhD, with assistance from Manpreet Kaur, MS.

Dr. Ramo’s research focuses on using digital media to change health risk behaviors including tobacco, alcohol, and other drug involvement. She has developed the Tobacco Status Project social media intervention to help young adults quit smoking, and is testing its efficacy in a randomized clinical trial with 500 young adults. Dr. Ramo has published multiple papers on using social media for recruitment of research participants. Learn more about Dr. Ramo's research at readi.ucsf.edu.
